A: I’ve been looking – NONE. Under $10,000 you can only find cars from late 90’s or early 2000s. Even the cheapest cars (like barina, jazz etc) from 2007+ are at least $12000, but often more.

A: If your buying a car for the feature or the sound system then you could be stuck with a crappy car and a good sound system. Best bet is to buy the car you like and upgrade the sound system yourself. and with 10 grand you can get way to many cars to list. I would need more info to help you choose.

A: Kia Rio 5 starts around $10,000, Hyundai Accent ($9995), Chevy Aveo or the Pontiac Wave (both starting at $8995). There are plenty of good cars out there. Of course, if you want something a little bigger you may look at a one or two year old used model

A: The interest rate will be based on your Mom’s credit score. Therefore, she will get (probably) the best available. Banks have a sliding scale, and the newer the car, the lower the rate. Many won’t loan on cars over 7 years or 100k miles. Used car rates should be around 7%, but the way banks are behaving these days, hard to say for sure. If you have a good relationship with a bank now, then use them. Also, PLEASE make the payments on time. Understand that your Mom gets no benefit from co-signing other than not having to loan you her car and your credit could go way up it you handle it well. Her credit rating will basically be unchanged, unless you fail to pay on time – then it goes in the toilet.

A: Don’t listen to these guys. If you’re looking for an actual sports car instead of an economy car with a bit of extra power, here’s my advice:
American:
Late 90’s or early 2000’s Camaro SS or Mustang GT. A fair amount of power and not too terrible handling. Easy to find people to work on them.
Might even find a late 80’s or early 90’s Corvette for under 10k.
Asian:
91-99 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo
91-99 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4
91-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T or GS-X / Eagle Talon TSi
91-95 Toyota MR-2 Turbo
Not much for european in that price range that I’d really consider a sports car.
If you take a little time and look, you can find any of these cars for under $7,000. Many of them you can find for under $5,000.

A: the audi S4 and the subaru impreza and mitsubishi evo are similar cars, the quattro was unique at the time but would be outperformed by all these cars which are all 4WD, probably the best car available today and for the last few years is the nissan skyline GT-R it will outperform just about every other car on the road

A: are you going to put work yourself if so you save alot. My advice is get a older v8 Camaro or Mustang the are cheap and easily modded don’t bother with a import that scene. Imports are junk 4cylinders are jokes you deffinetly should get a v8 if you want cheap fast but if you insist on import than i cant change that

A: You are right Bimmer is too expensive. There are four costs to buying a car for a young person
1. the cost to buy
2. The cost to fuel
3. The cost to maintain
4. The cost to resell (the depreciation)
also, if you are a young guy it needs to be respectable.
I’d recommend a Honda civic coupe, which is soup uppable. you should be able to get a 2004 for about $8000 leaving you money for repairs and taking out hot girls. You could also get perhaps a 2004 vw city golf or city jetta. But watch out for the repairs. These cars will do pretty well on those four costs while still giving you reasonable street cred.
Oh yeah, test drive LOTS of different cars! Make sure you are happy with whatever you get.
