A: Kia Rio 5 starts around $10,000, Hyundai Accent ($9995), Chevy Aveo or the Pontiac Wave (both starting at $8995). There are plenty of good cars out there. Of course, if you want something a little bigger you may look at a one or two year old used model

A: The interest rate will be based on your Mom’s credit score. Therefore, she will get (probably) the best available. Banks have a sliding scale, and the newer the car, the lower the rate. Many won’t loan on cars over 7 years or 100k miles. Used car rates should be around 7%, but the way banks are behaving these days, hard to say for sure. If you have a good relationship with a bank now, then use them. Also, PLEASE make the payments on time. Understand that your Mom gets no benefit from co-signing other than not having to loan you her car and your credit could go way up it you handle it well. Her credit rating will basically be unchanged, unless you fail to pay on time – then it goes in the toilet.

A: Don’t listen to these guys. If you’re looking for an actual sports car instead of an economy car with a bit of extra power, here’s my advice:
American:
Late 90’s or early 2000’s Camaro SS or Mustang GT. A fair amount of power and not too terrible handling. Easy to find people to work on them.
Might even find a late 80’s or early 90’s Corvette for under 10k.
Asian:
91-99 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo
91-99 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4
91-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T or GS-X / Eagle Talon TSi
91-95 Toyota MR-2 Turbo
Not much for european in that price range that I’d really consider a sports car.
If you take a little time and look, you can find any of these cars for under $7,000. Many of them you can find for under $5,000.

What is the best bang for buck import car? I was a formally drove a 1994 Toyota Camry V6XLE with 337,000 miles (i know its incredible). This car was purchased brand new by my mom who owned it until 55,000 miles. Once I graduated high school she gave me this car. I drove it for the next 7 years back and forth from home, to work to college. The car’s life ended when I got slammed by an 18 wheeler on the freeway. I don’t have much money considering I still owe some student loans and at this point in my life, I am not ready to commit to a car payment. So 10,000 in savings is all I got. I am looking for another car just as reliable but something new. So far the onyl car I like is the Honda Accord 2003-2005. I like the way it drives, and I like the features that it comes along with. I was wondering if any of you out there have any other suggestions.
I perfer Sedans just because I am a pretty big guy and I don’t like trucks or SUVs because of gas prices. Thank you
A: Honda Accord Coupe, Honda Prelude, you can even get a Lexus SC (1992-2000) for less than 10K and you’d be driving in style.
I personally like Acuras, but you might only be able to afford a used TSX on that budget.
A good one too would be Nissan Sentra SE-R, its their kicked up version.

A: 10,000 is alot of money…..you can choose between tons of cars with that much. where do i even begin? Get a classic car magazine at the fill up next time your there. I got one the other day for 6 bucks with 3,300 different classic cars for sale. found my dream car for 5,000. If your looking for something like an old trans-am, stingray corvette, nova, there are more muscle cars from the 70’s that would meet your budget. the cars from the 60’s though…they are pure muscle. i recommend the classic cars becuase they dont have computers and are good for fixing yourself. if you go with a clasic car dont expect original interior. Make sure the dash is there and in good order….the rest you can fix up as you go. 10,000 can get you some pretty jaw dropping classics. If your willing to put some work into them. if you dont know how to work on cars at all maybe you should think economic. if you do now how to work on cars you can piece your car together for a fraction of the price
